Thank you for visiting my new Internet site where I want to give you the opportunity to stay in touch with what I am doing.
What is The Journey?
The Journey is a simple, gentle and effective means to free us from old emotional or physical blocks that may be holding us back in life. It clears out negative beliefs and limitations of all kinds that may be preventing us from reaching our natural potential. It is also an extraordinary tool for physical healing.
Have you ever wondered how it would feel to be completely free of the hurts of the past? Perhaps it’s a nagging anxiety or fear; an unexplained anger or rage; a soft sadness or a deep grief. It may be depression or addiction - or just a feeling that there must be more to life than this. Thousands of people around the world have found out how to free themselves from issues such as these through The Journey. And many have found relief from physical illness, as was the case for me.
The origins of The Journey
The Journey was born from the personal experience of its founder, Brandon Bays. In 1992 Brandon was diagnosed with a tumour in her uterus, which had grown to the size of a football. With many years of experience in holistic health, nutrition and healing modalities, Brandon was determined that she could heal naturally, and she embarked on her own journey of discovery. Six weeks later she was pronounced tumour free. She had no surgery and took no medication. Her extraordinary story is told in her best-selling book, The Journey (published in the UK by Harper Collins), which is available from libraries, bookshops, or from me.
About Penelope Gurland
The photograph on the left is more than just a picture of me at the top of a hill. It is taken in a beautiful spot on top of the South Downs close to my home, which has been a favourite walking spot all my life. The view, over fields and farmland, the city of Chichester, and the south coast stretching from Worthing in the east to Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight to the west, is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. And there was a time when I thought I would never be able to walk up there again.
Some years ago my active professional and personal life ground to a halt as I became increasingly unwell. Eventually I was diagnosed with M.E. (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis), also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. It was unlikely, I was told, that I would ever regain my former energy levels.
By chance I picked up a leaflet about The Journey and attended a weekend seminar. I was blown away by the changes in myself in just two days, and knew that I must continue with this work. As my own healing progressed, I knew I wanted to offer this work to others. I decided to train with Brandon Bays to become an Accredited Journey Practitioner. Quite simply it has changed my life.
As a Journey Practitioner I now practice in London and in Chichester, West Sussex, and continue to attend Journey seminars as often as possible. I have amazed my specialist with my progress.
Questions you may have about The Journey
Is The Journey for me?
If anything you have read here rings true for you the answer is probably yes.
Is Journey work suitable for people of all ages?
Absolutely. Many people come to Journey work having tried a number of other healing therapies. It is the simplicity and ease of a Journey process which makes it so accessible to people of all ages, including small children as young as 5 years old.
What do I do next?
You can call me to discuss, without any obligation, how The Journey might be helpful for you. If you do decide to make an appointment I suggest that you read Brandon Bay’s book The Journey before you come. Or you might like to attend one of the many introductory weekend workshops taking place in London and around the country (a discount voucher for these events is available from me), or a combination of both.
What happens in a one-to-one appointment?
Sitting in a chair, I will guide you on a gentle introspection, helping you to access hidden emotions or physical issues which may be stored in your body’s cells, and effortlessly release them. This process usually takes from 2 to 4 hours, and it is recommended that you leave some time free afterwards to rest so that you may continue to heal naturally.
A Journey process guides you to:
- Access your own inner potential for healing and growth
- Release emotional baggage and negative beliefs that may be holding you back
- Clear out old cell memories that may be causing physical dis-ease
How much does it cost?
A full Journey process lasts from 2 to 4 hours and costs £195. This includes telephone follow-up appointments after 2 days, 1 week and 1 month. It also includes a snack before you leave. A series of three appointments booked together is £530. A children’s Journey Process (5-12 years) is £100.
